Manx Harriers host round one of Cross Country League

We are pleased to announce that Manx Harriers are hosting round one of the Microgaming Cross Country League.  It is being held on Sunday 16th October on a new course at Castle Rushen High School in Castletown.

A map will be made available early next week and the course will be available for inspection from 12:45pm on the day.

Pre-registration will be held at the Manx Harriers clubhouse on Friday 14th October from 6.00-7:00pm

Competitors can register on the day however we would ask that you arrive in plenty of time to avoid any delays. The provisional timetable is as follows:

microgaminglogocmyk_stacked12:45pm – Registration

2:00pm – U9 Boys

2:05pm – U9 Girls

2:10pm – U11 Boys

2:20pm – U11 Girls

As usual we would like to remind spectators that dogs are not permitted on school property, please arrive early to use the car parks or car share where possible.

Many thanks to Mr Winstanley, the headmaster of Castle Rushen High School for allowing us hold the event at the school. Mr Winstanley has asked that competitors and spectators please respect school property and do all they can to remove mud from their footwear before entering the school buildings.

Finally, Betty’s Pie Co will be catering for the event.

If you are able to help with marshalling, recording and possibly timing please let Andy Fox know. – the first race is off at 2pm so we would need marshals to meet at 1.45pm at the latest. All should be complete by around 3.45pm at the latest.

The course will already be up – put up in the morning by athletes. All we need are enough marshals to cover the course and the start/finish etc.

Thanks to Andy Fox
