A Classic Manx Race
The Peel to Douglas Trail has a long and rich history, dating back many decades. First held in the 1960s, the race has been enjoyed by generations of runners on the Isle of Man. You can read more about its fascinating history here: Peel to Douglas History. The route follows the old Isle of Man Railway Line, now the Heritage Trail, offering a traffic-free path through beautiful countryside. With gentle gradients and a fast finish into Douglas, it remains one of the most popular trail races on the calendar.
Last Year’s Race (2024)
The 2024 Peel to Douglas Trail Race produced some excellent performances, with a strong turnout and competitive racing at the front of the field.
- Men’s Winner: Ollie Lockley – 52:08
- Women’s Winner: Sarah Webster – 1:03:03
Both races were convincingly won, with fast times set over the approximately 10.5-mile course. The event once again showcased the depth of local endurance running talent and enjoyed excellent support from runners of all ages and abilities.
We look forward to welcoming you on Sunday 21st September 2025 for another great edition of this iconic event.
