Held every year this 1 mile handicapped race held on the NSC track commemorates a talented athlete who was taken from us at an early age.
The event is held on a handicap basis and always attracts a large field of both regular and not-so-regular runners. Steve, who represented the Isle of Man in both athletics and judo, died in 1996 and the event has been held on an annual basis since then. All entry fees are donated to a memorial fund set up in Steve’s name to help talented young athletes.
