Manx Harriers Track & Field League 2018

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2018 Manx Harriers Track and Field League sponsored by Up and Running.

Signing on will take place at the Manx Harriers Clubhouse on Thursday 8 March from 5.00 – 7.30 pm.  It is important that you sign on at this time.

If you are unable to attend the signing on evening you can sign on by post.  Please fill in the appropriate forms (Manx Harriers Membership Form 2018/2019,  Track and Field League Form 2018Code of Conduct Forms and Parents’ Assistance Form)  and a cheque made out to Manx Harriers and post to Jenny Dowling, 2 Ballabridson Park, Ballasalla, Isle of Man IM9 2ES.   The fee for the League in 2018 remains unchanged at only £20 if payment is made before 9 March 2017; after this date it will be £25.

The cost per week for guests will be £3 for paid up Manx Harriers members and £5 for everyone else.  If you intend on guesting please send your details to Jenny so she can issue you with numbers etc. prior to the first event.

The Track and Field League starts Wednesday 14 March 2018 at 6.15pm at the NSC Athletics Track, and will continue until 11 July 2018 (see dates below).  Athletes will compete in age groups in selected track and field events during the six Manx Harriers meetings of the League, with four weeks to count.

Here is the programme of events.

To allow the Track and Field League to run smoothly and to time we would ask if parents could assist for at least one evening in the season. You will be asked to do a non technical task like pulling the tape through, raking the sandpit or retrieving the cricket ball, discus or shot putt.  You will be working with a qualified judge who will assist you.  We will have a chart available and it would be greatly appreciated if you would put your name down for at least one evening in the Season.  Please see the letter from Tracey Bell and fill in the chart with the relevant information.
